Text Box: Testimonials   LITs and Staff   This last summer working on the Living Waters wilderness staff was one of the most rewarding and enjoyable summers of my life!!  I started going on wilderness trips ten years ago, when I was only fourteen years old.  At that point in time, the trips made an incredible impact on my life, challenging me to push myself physically, to trust God and Dave, our fearless leader (who's decisions I sometimes questioned...), and I learned loads of useful information about survival in and enjoyment of the amazing wilderness that God has created.  From that time on, I could never shake the desire to spend my summers in the woods, living in tents, in boats, and on or in rivers. Now I get to lead kids and help them enjoy the same activities. This summer, for instance, we got to take kids fishing on the Allagash, "rump bumping" in some white water on the St. Croix, and bushwhacking through the North Maine woods.  I've also had the opportunity to see some kids come into a relationship with Jesus Christ, trusting Him as their savior.  Witnessing kids make this decision is ultimately what motivates myself and all our other workers to devote our summers to camp ministry, because it is a decision that will change their lives forever!!! Naomi Gillette Trip Leader and previous camper Email wildwomenofthewest@hotmail.com My name is Tyler Heinrich and I worked at Living Waters this past summer.  I was an LIT for the Wilderness program which is led by Dave Conley, a Registered Maine Guide.  I learned a lot about the wilderness, canoeing, and camping.  When I first came to the camp to work, I was so excited about going on trips that I forgot that I was doing it for God.  But that all changed on the first trip that we went on for the LITs.  On that trip I put my focus back on God.  Throughout the summer I was able to come closer to God and mature as a Christian.  It was great to be able to be with other Christians as well.  I had many opportunities to help out campers with their walks with God.  I had a great time working for the Wilderness program this summer and I'm looking forward to going back next year.
