A Parent’s 2007 Testimonial

Living Waters has been such a blessing to us here in the Clifford household!  As John's mom I am able to say that Living Waters has witnessed to my son in a way that I am unable to do.  You have given him experiences that I have only dreamt about.  The way that you reach these kids is just amazing and quite clear ~ heaven touched.  The energy that you put into each individual child is inspiring to say the least.

The time that my son has spent at Living Waters has meant so much to him.  He has been to Pioneer Camp, on the Junior Survivor twice, and this past summer the Allagash.  This has been a huge moral booster and confidence builder.  The self- esteem alone that he has gained at Living Water's is a powerful example of the time and energy that the staff puts into each child.  Thank you also for the opportunity that you have given John.  This boy is wild about Living Waters!  This will definitely last a lifetime!

Once again thank you so much for the work and time that you put in to all these kids.

John just loves the wilderness trips.  He talks about them all year long.  The things that he is able to experience is just unbelievable.  Aside from the obvious things that a 12 year old boy can hardly wait to share about his time on the wilderness trips is that he really enjoys the time spent at night around the campfires in the Word of God.  He said that in those moments, in the wilderness, in those quiet intimate times he can feel the love of God, the awesomeness of God, and that he matters to God.

He is absolutely wild about Living Waters and all that it has to offer, from friends to the staff, he just loves it all.

The pictures that are taken on these wilderness trips are a constant reminder of the time that he has spent there. This is something that he continuously goes to and reminisces about.  I hear a new story each time he looks through the photos.

When I arrived to pick him up after his 10-day Allagash trip he was very happy to see me.  He came over to me and gave me a nudge, (boys usually are not likely to hug mom in public), and asked me quietly to feel his muscles.  WOW!!!!  His arms were rock hard!!  I said, "John, boy have you grown!"  His humble reply was, "That's what 10 days of canoeing will get you!"

I look forward to seeing you all next summer!

Love,

Dawn Clifford
