Wilderness AdventuresText Box: Release/Assumption of Risk:
I Hereby acknowledge that this trip/course may take place in a remote wilderness setting. There is a risk inherent to travel by canoe, or by foot (hiking) in a remote wilderness setting. In the event of an injury or illness medical facilities may be several hours and in extreme cases (Some Canadian trips) possibly days away from remote settings and evacuation my be required by helicopter, airplane, etc. Participants are responsible for any additional costs  incurred for evacuation as the result of injuries or illness. Travel may include the use of charter planes. Living Waters cannot be held responsible for any inconvenience, damage, delay caused by late departure, weather, water levels, itinerary changes, etc. We recommend that participants obtain travel insurance to cover the duration of the trip.

Financial Agreement to Pay for Removal of Camper from Outing:
Agreement to pay for removal of a camper from an outing due to negligence (on camper’s part) and or unwillingness to accept and follow instructions. In the rare event (rare meaning it has happened only a handful of times in the past 20 years), we have to remove a child from an outing due to negligence (on camper’s part), and or an unruly camper (Unruly meaning the camper has been warned several times and refuses to follow instruction and or puts themselves and or the entire group at risk due to their actions). The parents/guardians will be obligated financially as follows.
Removal from the St. Croix River Region is $100.00 plus .50/mile
Removal from the Allagash/Penobscot regions is $200.00 plus .50/mile

Note: The St. Croix Region is approx. 100 miles round trip, Allagash & Penobscot Regions are approx. 200-400 miles round trip. Picking up a child in the St. Croix region involves two adults, a vehicle and half a days time. In the Penobscot/Allagash Regions involves two adults, a vehicle and  a full days time. In the event this takes place, parents/guardians will be notified and be required to pick up their child the day they are removed from an outing. There are no partial refunds for campers who have to be removed from a program/outing due to discipline problems or negligent behavior on the camper’s part. The above fees are in addition to the cost of the trip/program.
