Text Box: General Information for Groups

Meals: All food is provided for your outing while on the adventure part of the trip. With Groups, we ask that you take care of any on the road meals to and from your trip. While at camp, meals are served in our dining hall where every attention is given to making meals nutritious and well balanced. While on trips, campers share in the responsibility of food preparation and cooking. We provide a menu with high nutritional value. Careful thought goes into food planning and preparation, and the proper care and storage of food is strictly followed.

Transportation: Transportation to and from the trip is provided by the camp for open session trips. With groups, arrangements can be made to meet at specific locations closer to the starting point of the trip.

Activities available on some Outings include…
Rock Climbing, Hiking & Whitewater Rafting: Want to live on the edge! The East & West Branch Penobscot River Trips, as well as the Appalachian Trail and Debsconeag Lakes Trip, can accommodate an extra day for rock climbing, hiking Mt. Katahdin, & whitewater rafting in some of the most scenic areas in Maine. The following activities can be added to your adventure when starting your trip at camp.

Mountain Biking: Add an extra challenge for your group by adding a partial or full day of mountain biking prior to doing the Saint Croix Rover or West Grand Lakes area canoe trip.

Climbing Tower: New in 2007! Groups may want to take advantage of our new climbing tower and low elements course to promote teamwork, trust, and self confidence prior to heading out on your trip.
