Text Box: Personal Gear List for a 2-4 Day Canoe Trip

Large pack or duffel bag to pack your gear in
Sleeping bag (the three season packable type is best)
Rain coat
2 warm, heavy wool sweaters or synthetic pullovers, for cool weather
1 long sleeve shirt (bugs/ sun)
Wool or felt hat in case of cold or rainy weather
 Boots or similar shoes—well broken in— with good traction for around the campsite activities and camp chores.
1 old pair of sneakers that fit well with a pair of socks and that have good traction! (These will be required to wear while canoeing, wading and swimming.)
1 quick drying pants  (windpants or fatigues work well—NO JEANS!!!!)
1 pair cotton socks
1 pair wool socks
2 underwear
2 cotton T-shirts
1 light quick drying towel
1 pair shorts
Hat with visor (sun)
Insect Repellant
Bandanna
Bible
Flashlight (extra batteries) 
1 gallon size plastic juice jug with a screw on top to use as a water bottle (filled)
Personal toiletries: toothpaste and brush, deodorant, small bottle of biodegradable shampoo (trial or travel size only)
Several gallon– size Zip Lock bags to organize stuff in
pocket knife
