2009 Wilderness Program Report
Praise the Lord for another great season here at Living Waters with the Wilderness Adventure Program! 197 campers ( up from 120 in 2008), young and old, ages 10-73 took part on 16 outings. We had ten leaders assisting with the outings. What a great opportunity for these adults to serve and grow in the Lord! A big hit this year was the Teen vs. Wild & Lit/Jr. Maine Guide Programs. Campers learned lots of hands on skills while having the time of their life.
This was the 2nd year for our de Pas Wilderness Canoeing and Fishing Trip in northern Quebec. For nine days we traveled through some very remote country, spotted a huge black bear, a large wolf, and caught lots of Brook Trout with several going 3-5lbs. Every evening we shared the Word of God around the campfire. Wilderness Adventures once again provided an opportunity to get people outdoors, impart skill, share the Word, and experience God’s creation first hand. Praise the Lord for another great season!
