Camp Store/Gear Staff Apply Contact Text Box: 2007 Wilderness Program Report Praise the Lord for another great season here at Living Waters with the Wilderness Adventure Program! 142 campers (young and old, ages 10-73), took part on 12 outings, a 41% increase over 2006. Two accepted Christ as their personal Savior that we know of. We had ten leaders assisting with the outings. What a great opportunity for these adults to serve and grow in the Lord! A big hit this year was the LIT week with nine in attendance. Campers learned lots of hands on skills while having the time of their life with a surprise night hike and jumping mountain bikes off a ramp into the lake! Both our Allagash Canoe trips were full. This was the first year for our Moisie River Expedition in Quebec. We had six attending. For 16 days we traveled through some very scenic and rugged country, paddled over 230 miles, portaged 21 times, ran numerous class II-III rapids, watched Atlantic Salmon try to jump the falls, listened to the not too distant Timber Wolves howling at mid day, and shared the Word of God around the campfire nightly! Wilderness Adventures once again provided an opportunity to get people outdoors, impart skill, share the Word, and experience God’s creation first hand. Praise the Lord for another great season!
